BBC America is hosting a free screening of the Doctor Who two-part season premiere—”The Impossible Astronaut” and “Day of the Moon”—followed by a Q&A session with Chris Hardwick, Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, Alex Kingston, and Steven Moffat. The special event is this Monday, 11 April, at 7PM at Village East Cinema (189 Second Ave, New York, NY).
The event is “for fans to come celebrate the first Doctor Who episodes ever filmed in America. Executive producers Piers Wenger and Beth Willis will also be in the house for the event.”
An RSVP does not guarantee admission. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, see this page.
For those unable to make the screening, there will also be a signing at Barnes & Noble (555 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10017; 212-697-3048) starting at noon this Friday, 8 April. Actors Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Arthur Darvill will be signing Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Series DVD boxed set. “You will need a wristband to join the signing line for this event. Wristbands will be distributed starting at 9AM on Friday 8 April with the purchase of the boxed set.”
