Rod Rees’ Demi-Monde sells in France

Thibaud Eliroff at J’ai Lu bought French rights to Rod Rees’ four-novel Demi-Monde series. Emma Thawley, Rights Director at original publisher Quercus, managed the sale, since Quercus bought world rights in the books from agent John Jarrold. Jarrold reports that J’ai Lu has “a dedicated marketing spend for the first in the series, as with their publication of Robin Hobb. The first volume will be published in the autumn of 2012, with the rest of the series following at roughly eight-month intervals.”
