Free workshop on Reading Your Work Aloud

On 8 January, the Garden State Horror Writers (GSHW) will be hosting a workshop for new and experienced writers on “Reading Your Work Aloud”.
The event will be at the East Brunswick Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center, East Brunswick, NJ 08816-3529). GSHW’s business meeting starts at 11AM, followed by the workshop at noon. All materials will be provided. Non-members are welcome to this open event (admission is free).
Workshop presenters will be Hildy Silverman (editor of Space and Time magazine) and Neal Levin (author and publisher). “Learning to read your own work aloud is not only a good skill for presentations, reading your work aloud during the writing process can make it better. Interested attendees can bring five minutes samples of their work for a critique.”
The GSHW is a multi-genre group catering to writers from all walks of life. The group has hosted presentations by authors such as Elizabeth Bear, Gregory Frost, and F. Paul Wilson. Membership is $35.00 per year. For information about the group call 732-276-7531 or visit gshw.net.
