Albedo One’s International Aeon Award 2011 Contest

Co-editor Frank Ludlow writes to tell us that “the 2010 Aeon Award short fiction contest went very well, with a good number of entries and we are currently waiting to hear back about the winners from our panel of Grand Judges Ian Watson, Anne McCaffrey, Mike Resnick, and Sam Millar.”
The Aeon Award short fiction contest is “aimed at promoting new writers and writing in the speculative fiction genres.” The 2011 contest opened on 1 January, and runs through 30 November. “For the 2011 contest, the grand prize is again euro;1000 and publication in Albedo One, with euro;200 and euro;100 prizes and publication in Albedo One for second and third place stories. “This year we have an added bonus prize for the winning story courtesy of the respected Authorlink.com. The winning story will have the option of free one-year publication in the Storywire section, where authors earn royalties from online readers of their work. Authorlink.com is a news, information and marketing site for editors, agents, writers, and readers.”
