Top Box Office Grossers: Second Week in December 2010

Variety reports the top movies, in terms of box office take, for the week of 10-16 December 2010. There’s a new fantasy film at the top of the charts: The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader opened at #1, tallying up $30.4 million. The new Johnny Depp drama The Tourist opened at #2. These pushed Tangled from #1 to #3, spinning up $18.1 million, for a three-week total of $119.1 million. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I slipped from #2 to #4, taking in $11.5 million, for a four-week total of $260.7 million. Megamind fell from #6 to #10, making $3.3 million, for a six-week total of $141.0 million.
The Warrior’s Way fell from #9 to #14, battling up $1.4 million, for a two-week total of $5.4 million. Despicable Me held steady at #22, grossing $250 thousand (just a shade more than last week), for a twenty-three week total of $250.3 million. Skyline fell from #16 to #25, swooping up $200 thousand, for a five-week total of $21.3 million.
