Top Box Office Grossers: Fifth Week in November 2010

Variety reports the top movies, in terms of box office take, for the week of 26 November-2 December 2010. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I held onto the top of the charts, taking in $57.5 million, for a two-week total of $227.5 million. Tangled, which was open only two days last week, climbed from #4 to #2 in its first full week in the theatres, spinning up $55.0 million, for a one-plus-week total of $75.0 million. Burlesque climbed from #8 to #3 in its first full week in the theatres. Megamind slipped from #2 to #4, making $14.0 million, for a four-week total of $131.7 million.
Skyline dropped from #9 to #15, swooping up $1.4 million, for a three-week total of $20.5 million. Despicable Me climbed from #24 to #20, grossing $425 thousand (20% more than last week), for a twenty-one-week total of $249.8 million. Paranormal Activity 2 fell from #17 to #24, with activity of $275 thousand, for a six-week total of $84.2 million.
Falling out of the top 25 this week were:
Saw 3D (last week’s #18) in its fifth week in release (box office total: $45.7 million)
Hereafter (last week’s #23) in its seventh week in release (box office total: $32.4 million)
