Adam L.G. Nevill’s horror novels get sixth translation sale, in Germany

Adam L.G. Nevill sold German rights to two horror novels—Apartment 16 and The Ritual—to Sascha Mamczak at Heyne. The deal was handled by Pan Macmillan’s Rights Manager Jon Mitchell (Julie Crisp had earlier acquired world rights to the books from Nevill’s agent, John Jarrold).
This is the sixth translation deal for the books, following sales in China, France, Russia, Spain, and Turkey.
Apartment 16 was first published by Pan in May 2010; The Ritual will appear next year. Heyne, however, are planning to publish The Ritual first.
Jarrold told SFScope: “Apartment 16 has sold extremely well, reprinting three times and spending a long time as Amazon.co.uk’s bestselling horror title, and we’re both delighted with this deal.”
