Publisher Jacob Weisman reports “James DeMaiolo will replace Matt Staggs as publicist for Tachyon Publications on an interim basis. DeMaiolo, who was hired two months ago as a marketing consultant, brings a wealth of experience to the position, including stints in sales and marketing for Pocket Books and Henry Holt, in the publicity department of Wynwood Press, and as the science fiction buyer for Barnes & Noble.”
Of his departure, Staggs said “Working with Tachyon Publications has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. But I leave knowing that they are in capable hands.”
Weisman said “Matt Staggs has been the face of Tachyon for the past three years. He has been an integral part of our success and will be difficult to replace. We are fortunate, however, to have James DeMaiolo to step in while we reorganize.”
