Fan and author Jan Howard Finder (aka Wombat) has posted A request to fans of JRR Tolkien and The Lord of the Rings: I’ve been intrigued by the impact of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings on popular music in the 1960s and 1970s.
I would love to have a paper on this topic for my third Conference On Middle-earth (scheduled for 26 March 2011 in Westford, Massachusetts).
