Writers of the Future celebrates 25 years with coffee table book

The Writers of the Future contest has been giving out large cash prizes for a quarter of a century (yep, surprised me, too). To celebrate that milestone, they’re publishing a coffee table book, L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future—The First 25 Years, edited by long-time judge Kevin J. Anderson. The “full color coffee table style art book, presents a retrospective of a quarter century of the Contest containing over 1,000 photographs. You will find the historical highlights, the famed week-long intensive workshops, the guest speakers and presenters (who have included astronauts, industry leaders, futurists, filmmakers, actors, recording artists, and other visionaries).” It is also “interspersed with over one hundred success stories and testimonials.”
Pre-orders of the 270-page, $44.95 book from Galaxy Press will come with a free copy of Writers of the Future, Volume 25. On the other hand, Amazon.com is taking pre-orders of the book (without the bonus) for $29.67 (BarnesandNoble.com‘s pre-order price is $30.33).
