The Bower Park School in Romford, Essex, is hosting a two-day event on 4-5 September. “Hollywood 2 Havering” will bring a bit of Hollywood film-making and artistry to the school. The event will feature Marvel artist Gary Erskine and Disney artist Alan Batson teaching master classes in how to draw the successful characters from the movies and comics, plus exhibits and workshops from Titan magazines, BBC Worldwide, Hollywood make-overs, celebrity photography and more. Some of the exhibits will include:
* Star Cars—Movie Motors: See the technology of the movie star cars such as the Batmobile, Back to the Future‘s De Lorean, Starsky and Hutch‘s Grand Torino, and Knight Rider‘s Pontiac ‘KITT’.
* Movie Characters Showcase: Alien, Predator, Star Wars, etc. costumed characters
* BBC Worldwide: How do TV shows get made and the science & technology behind these successful media properties in magazines and merchandise (Dr Who, Top Gear, Top of the Pops, etc.)
