Shrek Forever After held onto the #1 spot for a third week in a row, grossing $36.5 million, for a three-week total of $194.3 million. Get Him to the Greek and Killers opened at #2 and #3, respectively. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time slipped from #3 to #4, conjuring up $20.1 million, for a two-week total of $65.7 million. The live-action Marmaduke opened at #6, woofing up $16.3 million. Iron Man 2 slipped from #2 to #7, earning $11.3 million, for a five-week total of $294.8 million. Splice opened in the US at #8, piecing together $10.2 million. Robin Hood slipped from #5 to #9, redistributing $7.7 million, for a four-week total of $96.8 million.
How to Train Your Dragon slipped from #10 to #14, swooping up $700 thousand, for an eleven-week total of $214.1 million. Alice in Wonderland slipped from #12 to #17, conjuring up $450 thousand, for a fourteen-week total of $333.8 million. A Nightmare on Elm Street fell from #11 to #23, grabbing $300 thousand, for a six-week total of $62.5 million.
