Walter H. Hunt’s A Song in Stone is once again available

Fantastic Books recently republished Walter H. Hunt‘s A Song In Stone. The book was only briefly available from Wizards of the Coast’s Discovery imprint, which was shut down days after Stone‘s original publication. Hunt and Fantastic Books saw the demand for the book, both from science fiction aficionados and from Masons (the novel is a time travel tale focusing on the destruction of the Knights Templar), and republished it.
Hunt offers this description of the tale:
“Friday the 13th of October 1307. A fateful day for the powerful Order of the Temple.
“Arrested by the King of France, betrayed by the Holy Father, the Templars will cease to exist.
“And Ian Graham, twenty-first century television personality, has just found himself in 1307—and an initiate of the Order. He has ten weeks to escape death or torture—if he can find his way home.”
Reviewer Tom Easton said of the book “[Walter Hunt] strikes out in a new direction that should appeal to many readers, old and new… The tale feels very real, and the secrets that are in its center carry a convincing weight… Highly recommended.” Reviewer Daniel M. Kimmel says “Walter Hunt’s imagination lets us all become time travelers, as we join Ian Graham on his journey through the 14th century. Hunt writes as if he was there. After reading A Song in Stone, you may feel like you were there yourself.” Our own review (published in late 2008) is here.
