The Science Fiction Poetry Association has announced the full list of nominees for this year’s Rhysling Awards. The winners are typically announced at Readercon, which will be held 8-11 July at the Burlingon Marriott, outside of Boston, Massachusetts. The Rhyslings are divided in “short poem” and “long poem” categories.
This year, there are 57 nominees in the short poem category (three fewer than last year), and 33 nominees in the long poem category (one more than last year). Authors appearing more than once on the ballot include: Duane Ackerson (2 short), Mary Alexandra Agner (1 short, 1 long), Mike Allen (1 short, 1 co-authored long), Elizabeth Barrette (3 short, 1 long), Robert Borski (1 short, 1 long), Bruce Boston (1 co-authored short, 1 long), Bryan D. Dietrich (1 short, 1 long), Kendall Evans (4 co-authored long, each with different co-authors), David C. Kopaska-Merkel (1 short, 2 co-authored long), Kristine Ong Muslim (2 short), Shweta Narayan (2 short), Marsheila Rockwell (2 short), Marge Simon (1 short solo, 1 co-authored short), J.E.
