Will Murray writes to announce:
The rumors are true. After a seven-year negotiation—I am not kidding—I’ve acquired from Conde Nast/Advance Magazines, the right to market seven new Doc Savage novels. All seven will be based on unused and unfinished Lester Dent ideas, outlines and manuscripts.
In anticipation of this, I’ve written The Desert Demons, which reunites the entire Doc Savage cast for a far-out adventure that sprawls from 1936 Hollywood, California to the alligator-infested interior of Florida.
Other Docs are in various stages of execution, with Horror in Gold fully drafted. I’m likely to complete The Infernal Buddha, which I began as my eighth Doc in 1993, next.
These will be kicked-up, over-the-top stories. Which is why I’m calling this new series, “The WILD Adventures of Doc Savage.”
Next stop: Finding a publisher. With a new Doc Savage film in the works, this shouldn’t be hard.
Murray is a novelist, pulp fiction scholar, and the literary executor for the estate of Lester Dent, who created Doc Savage. Dent (1904-59) is best known for creating Doc Savage, the Man of Bronze, debuted in 1933 under the house name of Kenneth Robseon.
Finally!!
Is this for real is Doc coming back? I have all the books even Murrays versions, but had to sell them to pay a debt. Docs 181 originals, and Murrays 7

I couldnt be happier to see this finally come true, Doc Savage and 7 new stories. Will Murray’s style is so close to Dent you cant really tell the two apart..an within 5 minutes of reading…I am absorbed into the very story itself….part of the magic of Doc Savage….and Will
urray sure does it right. When do they come out and are they waiting for Arnold to no longer be in politics to film the movie ?? Daniel Craig would make a good Doc.All this is just Good News to Doc fans everywhere.I to have every book…well protected.
Great to hear Will Murray has 7 new adventures for fans. Collected the Doc Savage series since mid-1960’s including Will’s orginal 7 titles in ’91-’93. Long live Doc Savage, the original “super” hero.
