The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences handed out their 82nd annual Academy Awards (the “Oscars”) tonight. The big winner was The Hurt Locker, with six wins out of nine nominations.
Last year, three sf/f/h films won a total of six awards (seven films were nominated for a total of 31 awards). This year, 12 sf/f/h films earned a total of 35 nominations (see this article). The sf/f/h winners this year are:
