The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced the winners of its 2010 Orange British Academy Film Awards. We detailed the nominees in this article. BAFTA’s mission is to “support, develop, and promote the art forms of the moving image, by identifying and rewarding excellence, inspiring practitioners and benefiting the public.”
In addition to the film awards, there were two special awards given. Vanessa Redgrave was named a Fellow of the Academy, and Joe Dunton received an award for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema.
Awards in only five of the fifteen categories with sf/f/h nominees went to those genre films. This year’s winners are:

Supporting Actress: Mo’Nique in Precious
