Albedo One’s International Aeon Award 2010 Contest

Co-editor Frank Ludlow writes to tell us that “the 2009 Aeon Award short fiction contest went very well, with a record number of entries, and we are currently waiting to hear who the winners are from Grand Judge Ian Watson (which we’ll announce in the next couple of weeks).”
The Aeon Award short fiction contest is “aimed at promoting new writers and writing in the speculative fiction genres.” The 2010 contest opened on 1 January, and runs through 30 November. “For the 2010 contest, the grand prize is again €1000 and publication in Albedo One, with €200 and €100 prizes and publication in Albedo One for second and third place stories. As a bonus prize this year, the winning story will have the option of free publication for one year in the Storywire section of Authorlink.com, where authors earn royalties from online readers of their work.”
Full details on the contest are available on this page.
