The Hollywood Foreign Press Association handed out their 67th annual Golden Globes on Sunday night. From very few nominations come very few awards, but sf/f/h films did pick up some major nods this year:
James Cameron’s animated Avatar won the award for Best Motion Picture—Drama, while Cameron himself won the Best Director award.
Robert Downey Jr. won the award for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical for his role as the title character in Sherlock Holmes.
Pixar’s Up was named Best Animated Feature Film, and it also won the award for Best Original Score (composed by Michael Giacchino).
