Publishers Gavin Grant and Kelly Link of Small Beer Press write about a special sale they’re having for a very special reason. “Here at Small Beer Press we’re having a pre-end-of-the-decade sale and fundraiser for Franciscan Children’s Hospital (where our daughter Ursula is being looked after very well—she is taking a nap right now after a very busy day!). Here are the basics:
“All our books are on sale—and $1 from every book (or ebook, zine, subscription, etc.) goes to Franciscan. And, if items are ordered at full price, we will donate the difference between the full price and the sale price to Franciscan. All our preorder titles are on sale, too.”
In addition, Boston area radio station 93.7 Mike FM is also having a fundraiser for Franciscan. Operators (at 866-931-MIKE) will be taking song requests and pledges from 7AM to 7PM on Friday 11 December. During that time, celebrities will be paired with parents. Link and Grant will be on from 9 to 10AM with Kelly Tuthill (celebrity news anchor from NewsCenter 5).
