…or, as Editorial Director Cecilia Tan says, “Circlet Press plays Smutty Santa with Erotic Sci-Fi ‘Advent Calender’.” As they did last year, Circlet will post a free story each day of December up to the 25th, at circlet.com.
“Just like the advent calendars which deliver a chocolate treat each day while building up anticipation for a holiday filled with joy and love, Circlet.com will have one delicious short story of erotic fantasy or erotic science fiction. Stories will only be up for 24 hours, though, so visitors must return each day to collect their next gift.
“This is the second year we’re doing ‘advent,'” said Tan. “All you hear about in the fiction business these days is gloom and doom. Bookstores are going out of business, magazines are folding, publishers are struggling. But the essential connection between author and reader and the pleasure of reading remains the same. This is the best gift we can give our readers.”
She also notes that the selection of stories will be “as eclectic as the Circlet, including all sexualities and orientations, and a range of science fiction and fantasy topics from vampires to artificial intelligence. Some of the stories will be from our new line of ebook publications, others will be drawn from print anthologies we’ve produced over the past 17 years.”
They’ll be posting (and removing) stories at midnight each day. The first story (which you’ve probably already missed) is/was “Garden Of Angels” by Elizabeth Coldwell.
