Eric Brown sells new sf novel to Solaris

Eric Brown sold Guardians of the Phoenix to Commissioning Editor Jonathan Oliver at Solaris Books. The deal was negotiated by agent John Jarrold, for UK/US rights. The book is due for publication late in 2010.
“Eric has been a mainstay of Solaris since their very successful publication of his novel Helix,” Jarrold said. “This proposal looks fascinating, and I can’t wait to read the finished novel!”
Brown is the author of half a dozen children’s books and a dozen adult novels, ranging from Meridian Days (1992) through the Bengal Station trilogy that Solaris is currently publishing (Necropath, Xenopath, and Cosmopath). He also edited The Mammoth Book of New Jules Verne Adventures, which was published in 2005.
