Cost of a Realms of Fantasy subscription will be going up

Assistant Editor/Nonfiction Editor/Art Director Douglas Cohen writes to alert potential and current subscribers to an impending price increase at Realms of Fantasy. To wit, he writes that under the new management, the paper quality has increased, as has the cover price. “What you might be unaware of, however, is that to this point, the old subscription price has remained intact from when the magazine still cost $3.99. So I’m writing to inform you folks that the subscription price will soon be going up, which was bound to happen after we increased the cover price.
“But it won’t be for another month. So if you don’t have a subscription to RoF but have been meaning to get one, or if you’d like to extend your subscription, you have until November 15th to lock in your subscription at the old rates. After this, the rates will be going up.”
The current rates are $16.95 for a six-issue subscription in the US ($28.95 overseas), and $29.95 for twelve issues ($53.95).
(Full disclosure: SFScope Editor Ian Randal Strock is also the freelance copy editor of Realms of Fantasy.)
