The eighth issue of Cabinet des Fées, dated September 2009, is now available. CdF is “an online fairy tale journal”, publishing fiction, poetry, and reviews. Edited by Helen Pilinovsky, Erzebet YellowBoy, and Donna Quattrone, CdF debuted in 2005, and twice appeared with print issues before moving to all-electronic publication, and there are changes afoot for that format. Specifically, YellowBoy writes “Writers may want to check the submission guidelines, as we are changing our publication schedule yet again. Twice yearly is not enough, so it is to thricely we go. CdF will now be releasing new issues in September, January, ,and May, and our reading periods have changed accordingly. We will be reopening for submissions on 1 October.” CdF pays $5 per poem, one cent per word for prose, with a maximum word count of 10,000, and a strong preference for fewer than 3,000 words.
