Suvudu cutting off free e-book downloads next week

Back in March (see this article), we announced that Random House, on its Suvudu blog, was giving away free e-books. Now comes word that the program is coming to an end. After five months of offering five books in a variety of formats, they’re pulling the plug next week. So if you haven’t yet downloaded your copy, and want one, now is the time to get it.
The five free e-books are:
Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb (book one of The Farseer Trilogy, first published in 1996)
His Majesty’s Dragon by Naomi Novik (Temeraire book one, first published in 2007)
Blood Engines by T.A. Pratt (Marla Mason book one, first published in 2007)
Red Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson (book one of the Mars Trilogy, first published in 1993)
Settling Accounts: Return Engagement by Harry Turtledove (the first book of the Settling Accounts trilogy, first published in 2004)

Just to clarify, Ian–we’re taking down the five books that originally launched the Free Book Library back in March. Many others have since been made available and others will continue to be posted. Please check out suvudu.com for a complete list!
