Move the tiles, make more pictures: Tor’s Makers tile game

Tor’s Digital Marketing Manager Ami Greko writes that they have “a cool new tile game” at this link.
The tile game is “an accompaniment to BoingBoing co-editor, science-fiction writer, and noted copyright activist Cory Doctorow‘s upcoming novel Makers,” which Tor will be publishing in October (they’ve been serializing the book on Tor.com since July; see this page for the index).
“The art featured in the tile game was created by Idiots’ Books, inspired by the themes of Makers—an ode to human inventiveness and skillful manipulation of the world around us. Idiots’ Books has created a total of 80 separate square illustrations, one to run alongside each chunk of Makers. While each illustration can stand on its own, each also fits on all four sides with every other square illustration.”
Matthew Swanson (the text half of Idiots’ Books) explains the concept behind, and the creation of, the 81 square pieces of art that accompany Makers, and which make up the tile game on Tor’s web site, in this blog post. By the way, Swanson’s wife and partner, Robbi Behr, is the illustration half of the company and the project.
