Steven H Silver reports the winners of this year’s Sidewise Awards for Alternate History, which were given out at Anticipation, this year’s World Science Fiction Convention.
The Sidewise Awards were founded in 1995 “to recognize the best alternate history of the year.” This year’s judges included Stephen Baxter, Evelyn Leeper, Jim Rittenhouse, Stuart Shiffman, Kurt Sidaway, and Steven H Silver.
The winner for Best Short Form is:
“Sacrifice” by Mary Rosenblum (Sideways in Crime, Solaris)

The Dragon’s Nine Sons by Chris Roberson (Solaris)
