Sam Beckett’s Quantum Leaps in time, by episode

Note: In the series Quantum Leap (which ran from 1989 to 1993, and was supposedly set in 1995 to 1999), Dr. Sam Beckett (played by Scott Bakula) was supposedly only able to leap within the range of his own lifetime (and his birthday was established as 8 August 1953; Bakula’s is 9 October 1954). Nevertheless, in several episodes he exceeded that range. In two—season 4, episode 1 (“The Leap Back”, 15 June 1945) and season 5, episode 20 (“The Leap Between the States”, 20 September 1862)—there were explanations for his excessive leaps. In two others (perhaps before his exact date of birth was established), no explanation was given for exceeding the range: season 1, episode 9 (“Play it Again, Seymour”, 14 April 1953), and season 2, episode 3 (“The Americanization of Machiko”, 4 August 1953). Beckett’s shortest leap was in season 5, episode 17 (“Revenge of the Evil Leaper”), in which he leapt back only to 16 September 1987.

There is also one date to which he leapt on two separate occasions, although I don’t recall which one it was off hand.
