Roby James sold A Song of Awakening to Vera Nazarian at Norilana Books, in a “nice deal” handled by Anna Ghosh of Scovil Galen Ghosh Literary Agency, Inc..
Norliana expects to release the hardcover in March 2010. The book, Nazarian says, is “a stunning historical fantasy in which a legendary Welsh beauty is forced to wed a bastard Plantagenet warrior at a time when the gods themselves are changing.”
James edits the Warrior Wisewoman anthology series which Norilana publishes. She is also the author of Commencement (1996), Commitment (1997), The Soldier’s Daughter (2001), and Beyond the Hedge (2007).
