Authors Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, through their SRM Publisher, are taking pre-orders on Double Vision, but only through 19 June. The 300-page trade paperback will be a collection of Lee & Miller’s non-Liaden short work (that is, novella length and shorter). Included will be “some of the authors’ earliest work, as well as some more recent. There are individual stories here as well as collaborations, and you’ll find the Liaden work pre-figured in some of the older pieces and echoed (and perhaps pre-figured as well!) in some of the mid-date work.” Elsewhere, they note that the stories range “from tech SF to soft fantasy, from whimsy to hard-edged.” The book will include more than 25 of them, as well as several poems and a feature report.
They warn that, due to prior contracts, this collection will not be available electronically. To pre-order the $17.95, signed volume, see this page. And even though that page currently lists the deadline as 14 June, Lee & Miller assure us the actual, final, last day to order is the 19th.
