Norilana republishing Vera Nazarian’s Salt of the Air

Vera Nazarian‘s Norilana Books is republishing her debut short fiction collection Salt of the Air in a “newly expanded and revised version of the first print edition, with an introduction by Gene Wolfe.” Prime Books originally published it in 2006. Norilana is offering it as both a hardcover ($23.95) and a trade paperback ($12.95) edition.
Nazarian immigrated to the USA from the former USSR as a kid, sold her first story at the age of 17, and since then has published numerous works in anthologies and magazines, and has seen her fiction translated into eight languages. Her first novel was Dreams of the Compass Rose (2002), followed by Lords of Rainbow (2003). She was a 2008 Nebula nominee for her novella “The Duke in His Castle”. Her 2007 Nebula nominee “The Story of Love” is in the new collection.
