SFSite and the Norwescon daily ‘zine are reporting that this year’s Philip K. Dick Award has gone to two novels: Emissaries from the Dead by Adam-Troy Castro and Terminal Mind by David Walton. There’s a four-minute video of the presentation ceremony on YouTube. In it, administrator Gordon Van Gelder presents the awards, with Janna Silverstein accepting for Castro and Walton present to accept his own award.
The award, for best original paperback published in the US in 2008, is sponsored by the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society and awarded at Norwescon. Our January article listed all the nominees and more information on the award.
