Top Box Office Grossers: Fourth Week in February

Variety reports the top movies, in terms of box office take, for the week of 20-26 February 2009. Coraline moved up the standings this week, climbing from #4 back up to #3, earning $13.5 million, for a three-week total of $55.9 million. Friday the 13th plummeted from last week’s #1 opening to #6, grossing $9.8 million, for a two-week total of $57.0 million.
Push fell from #10 to #13, taking in $4.0 million, for a three-week total of $25.6 million. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button held steady at #17, this week taking in $1.6 million, for a nine-week total of $124.6 million. The Uninvited dropped from #13 to #18, earning $1.6 million, for a four-week total of $26.3 million. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans fell from #15 to #20, bringing in $1.1 million, for a five-week total of $45.3 million. Twilight fell from #23 to #25, earning $700 thousand, for a fourteen-week total of $189.6 million.
My Bloody Valentine 3-D fell out of the top 25, from last week’s #19, in its sixth week in release.
