Change in tonight’s NYRSF Reading program in New York City

There’s a last-minute change in the program for tonight’s New York Review of Science Fiction Reading Series event at South Street Seaport Museum. Robert J. Howe, previously announced as one of the readers taking part in this, the first performance of the Tabula Rasa writers’ group, is “unable to read tonight due to an emergency professional commitment.” Instead, he will join the group’s second part in May. Tonight’s readers will be the previously announced Chris Cevasco and Barbara Krasnoff, and guest curator Richard Bowes will take the third reading spot.
As always, the doors will open at 6:30PM for a 7 o’clock start, at the South Street Seaport Museum at 12 Fulton Street, on the fourth floor, in New York City. The NYRSF Reading Series is held the first Tuesday of every month. Admission is free, but $5 donations are encouraged to offset costs and buy dinner for the readers. Following the readings, a nearby pub serves as the site of dinner/drinks/continuing conversation. Radio producer and talk show host Jim Freund is the series producer and executive curator. He also airs most of the readings on his WBAI FM radio program, Hour of the Wolf.
Upcoming NYRSF Reading Series events include:
* Victoria Janssen and Kris Saknussem (guest curated by Amy Goldschlagger) on 7 April 2009
* members of the Tabula Rasa writers’ group (part 2) on 5 May 2009
* Catherynne M. Valente and SJ Tucker of 2 June 2009
