2009 Rhysling nominees for sf poetry announced

The Science Fiction Poetry Association has announced the full list of nominees for this year’s Rhysling Awards. The winners will be announced at Readercon, which will be held 9-12 July at the Burlingon Marriott, outside of Boston, Massachusetts. The Rhyslings are divided in “short poem” and “long poem” categories.
This year, there are 60 nominees in the short poem category, and 32 nominees in the long poem category. Authors appearing more than once on the ballot include: Mike Allen (2 short, 1 long, and 1 co-authored long), Malcolm Deeley (1 short, 3 long), Amal El-Mohtar (1 short, 1 co-authored long), Joshua Gage (2 short, 1 long), Samantha Henderson (2 short, 1 long), Deborah P. Kolodji (3 short, 1 long), Sandra Lindow (2 short), Terrie Leigh Relf (2 short), Sonya Taaffe (4 short), Marcie Tentchoff (1 short, 1 long), Catherynne M. Valente (3 long, 1 co-authored long), Ian Watson (1 short, 1 co-authored long), and Jessica Paige Wick (1 short, 1 long).
The publications with the greatest numbers of nominees are: Goblin Fruit (7 short, 5 long); Strange Horizons (6 short, 4 long); Mythic Delirium (5 short, 1 long); Lone Star Stories (3 short, 2 long); and Star*Line (4 short).
