Top Box Office Grossers: Third Week in February

Variety reports the top movies, in terms of box office take, for the week of 13-19 February 2009. New release Friday the 13th opened in the number 1 spot, grossing $47.2 million. That pushed Coraline from #3 to #4, where it earned $22.1 million, for a two-week total of $42.3 million. And Push was pushed from #6 to #10, taking in $9.2 million, for a two-week total of $21.6 million.
The Uninvited dropped from #9 to #13, earning $5.3 million, for a three-week total of $24.7 million. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans fell from #11 to #15, bringing in $3.2 million, for a four-week total of $44.3 million. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was down from #14 to #17, grossing $2.3 million, for an eight-week total of $123.0 million. My Bloody Valentine 3-D slipped from #16 to #19, taking in $1.9 million, for a five-week total of $50.9 million.
After one week out of the top 25, Twilight bounced back up to the #23 slot, grossing another $1.0 million, for a thirteen-week total of $189.0 million.
Inkheart fell out of the top 25, from last week’s #21, in its fourth week in release.
