ChiZine Publications is publishing its third title, The Tel Aviv Dossier, in a limited hardcover edition. Orders must be received by 15 January (the book is expected to ship only to those pre-ordering it in mid March) on the Horror Mall website. The $50, 200-page hardcover will be signed by authors Lavie Tidhar and Nir Yaniv, and by cover artist Erik Mohr.
The story combines “biblical allusions, Lovecraftian echoes, and contemporary culture. The Tel Aviv Dossier is the story of the last days of Tel Aviv that merges a supernatural thriller with a meditation on the nature of belief. Yet underneath it all, humor is never absent.”
The print run for the book will be limited only to orders received.
Tidhar is the author of 2007’s HebrewPunk (which we reviewed in this article), as well as An Occupation of Angels (2005), and A Dick & Jane Primer for Adults (2008).
Yaniv is a musician and author who founded the webzine for the Israeli Society for Science Fiction. He is now the editor of Israeli sf magazine Chalomot Be’aspamia.
Artist and graphic designer Mohr studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design before apprenticing in Berlin, Germany.
ChiZine Publications is “an independent, invite-only publisher of weird, subtle, surreal, and disturbing dark fiction. It is the book-length, print version outgrowth of ChiZine.”
