Author Stephen Goldin suffers “ministroke”

Author Stephen Goldin writes: “Last Thursday morning I was calmly sitting in my doctor’s waiting room for an ordinary appointment when I suffered a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack—”ministroke”), where the world basically went to the far end of a telescope for a while. I ended up spending 24 hours in the hospital. The good news lies in that word “transient”. The phenomenon went away, and there seem to be no lingering effects. I’ll never be able to play the piano, though.…”
The 61-year-old Goldin is the author of more than two dozen novels, including the “Family d’Alembert” series, the Parsina Saga, the Rehumanization of Jade Darcy series, and the Mindsaga. His newest work is Polly!, “an adventure where you’ll discover: why snowmen can’t dance; a previously unseen Marx Brothers movie; the Three Laws of Thermodynamics; the secret of the universe. Oh, and also the recipe for the perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwich.”
