Top Box Office Grossers: Fourth Week of November

Variety reports the top movies, in terms of box office take, for the week of 21-27 November 2008. The first Stephenie Meyer vampire flick, driving her four novels to the top of the best-seller charts, opened at #1: Twilight took in $80.2 million in its first week, pushing Quantum of Solace from #1 to #2. The newest James Bond flick grossed $40.5 million for a two-week total of $122.6 million.
Saw V dropped out of the top 10, from #9 to #18, earning another $550 thousand, for a five-week total of $56.5 million. The Dark Knight dropped from #18 to #21 in its newest run on the top 25 list. This week, it brought in another $450 thousand, for a nineteen-week total of $529.8 million. The Haunting of Molly Hartley fell from #12 to #22, grossing $400 thousand, for a four-week total of $13.2 million.
