Variety reports the top movies, in terms of box office take, for the week of 14-20 November 2008. The newest James Bond flick, Quantum of Solace, opened at #1, bringing in $82.1 million. The top genre film, Saw V dropped from #7 to #9, taking in $2.3 million, for a four-week total of $55.9 million.
The Haunting of Molly Hartley fell from #9 to #12, grossing $1.7 million, for a three-week total of $12.8 million. The Dark Knight staged a comeback, after falling out of the top 25 the last week in October. This week, the Batman Begins sequel returned to the #18 spot, earning $700 thousand, for an eighteen-week total of $529.3 million.
