Variety reports the top movies, in terms of box office take, for the week of 7-13 November 2008. This was a remarkably scant week for sf/f/h movies. Saw V dropped from #4 to #7, taking in $5.5 million, for a three-week total of $53.6 million. The Haunting of Molly Hartley fell from #5 to #9, grossing $4.3 million, for a two-week total of $11.0 million.
Quarantine dropped from #15 out of the top 25 in this, its fifth week in release. The new release of Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D also dropped, from #25, in its third week in the theatres.
