Neil Gaiman is on tour for his new book, The Graveyard Book. At each appearance, he’s reading a different chapter of the book, and each one is being filmed. Each filmed reading is then being posted to www.mousecircus.com/videotour.aspx. Gaiman’s plan is to finish the book during the tour, so serial viewers will have a complete copy of the book as read by the author.
Full details of the tour and relevant links are all contained on this page of Gaiman’s Journal. The first chapter is already available.
And in other Gravyard Book news, publisher HarperCollins is giving away 25 copies. To enter the drawing, see this page.
The publisher also offers this description of the book: “Bod is an unusual boy who inhabits an unusual place—he’s the only living resident of a graveyard. Raised from infancy by the ghosts, werewolves, and other cemetery denizens, Bod has learned the antiquated customs of his guardians’ time as well as their timely ghostly teachings—like the ability to Fade.
“Can a boy raised by ghosts face the wonders and terrors of the worlds of both the living and the dead? And then there are things like ghouls that aren’t really one thing or the other.”
