Orthopedic Horseshoes interviews William Tenn and Mary Turzillo

The October 2008 episode of Orthopedic Horseshoes, entitled “Putting Lipstick on a Science Fiction Convention”, has been posted in dialup and broadband at www.thinktwiceradio.com/kauderer/kauderer.html. The sf talk radio program features several interviews, including one with renowned author William Tenn (Philip Klass) talking about Theodore Sturgeon, one with Nebula-winner Mary Turzillo talking about her poetry collections Your Cat & Other Space Aliens and Dragon Soup, and an interview with Anne Cecil about starting a convention.
Cohosts Herb Kauderer and Alan Katerinsky “try to capture the flavor of a science fiction convention by bringing their interviews from Confluence 2008.” They also discuss filking, science, socializing, the hospitality suite, Betelgeuse Bridge, and NESFA Press.
In addition, the September 2008 episode, “Beyond Our Solar System”, has now been archived at http://orthohorseshoes.mypodcast.com. That show features an interview/discussion on exo-planets with Dr. David DeGraff, the head of Astronomy at Alfred University.
