Bantam Spectra is running their first Spectra Pulse Short Fiction Contest now. The new contest offers a prize of $100 and publication in the third edition of Spectra Pulse, which they expect to publish in Summer 2009, in time for next summer San Diego Comic-Con (the limited edition magazine showcasing the books that Spectra publishes). Science fiction, fantasy, horror, new weird, or any other form of fantastic literature—no longer than 2,000 words—must be submitted by 31 January 2009.
