Actor George Takei and his partner of more than two decades, Brad Altman, were married on Sunday 14 September at the Democracy Forum of the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony featured a Buddhist priest, Native American wedding bands, a Japanes Koto harp, a bagpipe procession, and two of Takei’s Star Trek cast-mates: Walter Koenig and Nichelle Nichols served as best man and best lady. Takei’s and Altman’s vows are reprinted on Takei’s web site. They show the love and devotion two people have for each other, and have had for many years.
