Agent Chris Lotts of the Ralph Vicinanza Agency reports that R. Scott Bakker sold his new dark thriller Neuropath and a follow-up novel to Eric Raab at Tor for US rights. Other English language rights were sold to Penguin Canada and Orion UK, and translation sales were made in the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia, Spain, Poland, and Russia. To differentiate from Bakker’s fantasy novels somewhat, the thrillers are published as by “Scott Bakker.”
As a fantasy author, Bakker delivered The Judging Eye, the first volume of the second trilogy of his cycle “The Saga of the Second Apocalypse”, to Overlook in the US, Penguin Canada, and Orbit UK.
Bakker was also a featured guest at Spain’s Semana Negra book festival in June.
