Clarkesworld still staffing up, but chapbooks now appearing

Publisher Neil Clarke offers several announcements regarding his Clarkesworld Magazine. Specifically, the search for a new editor to replace departing editor Nick Mamatas (see this article) is taking a little longer than expected because at Readercon “we ended up with more interested candidates and some interesting viewpoints that required serious consideration.”
On the good news front, the series of chapbooks which Clarke had been publishing appear to be headed back on track. The plan is, “several months after online publication, each month’s fiction will be printed in a limited edition numbered chapbook that will be signed by both contributors.” They’re supposed to be limited to 100 copies at $14 each, but they had been experiencing printer probles. Clarke thinks the program is now “back on track and moving forward. Our new printer has done a great job.” He has copies of the chapbooks for issues #1 and #3, and will soon be sending them to those who pre-ordered, and he expects to get the program back on a more regular schedule (though possibly with the chapbooks coming out of order) soon.
