The MTV Movie Awards were handed out 1 June at the Gibson Ampitheatre at Universal Studios, despite the fire raging elsewhere on the property at the time.

Johnny Depp: won “Best Comedic Performance Winner” for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and “Best Villain Winner” for Sweeney Todd
Iron Man: named “Best Summer Movie So Far”
Will Smith: won “Best Male Performance” for I Am Legend
Transformers: won “Best Movie”
