Mike Allen’s The Hiker’s Tale serialized by Papaveria

Erzebet YellowBoy‘s Papaveria Press is serializing Mike Allen‘s The Hiker’s Tale in four weekly installments. Part one posted on 9 June.
This first Papaveria online edition is the story of “a young Melungeon man’s encounter with his heritage and is an eerie reminder that some things—including ourselves—are not always as they seem. The Hiker’s Tale, first published in Cabinet des Fées 2, is the beginning of a series of stories about an unnamed young man of Melungeon heritage who goes by his Appalachian Trail name, Panther. The second story in the series, Follow the Wounded One, is being published this month as a standalone chapbook by Not One of Us.”
Allen’s latest poetry collection, The Journey to Kailash, was recently published by Norilana Books. Allen is the editor of the poetry journal Mythic Delirium, and edited the fiction anthology Clockwork Phoenix.
Papaveria is a small, private press founded in 2001 in the arts district of Philadelphia. Specializing in fairy tales “&” fabulous visions, Papaveria produces limited edition artists’ books with companion editions sometimes available in hardback and paperback format.
