Bantam Spectra is launching a new free marketing magazine: SpectraPulse. The “limited-edition magazine for science fiction and fantasy fans” will feature exclusive articles, excerpts, and interviews with Spectra authors. The first issue has an excerpt from George R.R. Martin’s forthcoming A Dance with Dragons, an original story by Catherynne M. Valente, and an interview with Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden about the upcoming Baltimore movie. The magazine will also have original art, news of the publisher, and games and puzzles. Spectra will be distributing it at the Bantam Dell booth at upcoming conventions, including Comic-Con, WisCon, and World Fantasy.
They also have some of the content, as well as a story by Scott Lynch, available on their Facebook and MySpace sites.
